"Fiona gave outstanding service throughout the whole process, she captured the personality of both of my dogs perfectly. I am a big fan of the medium that she uses, and I thought all of my notes and photos would be overwhelming but Fiona took everything in her stride. 10 out of 10 - I can’t thank her enough."

How to order a pet portrait

  • Send me an e-mail with a bit about the pet you’d like me to paint (if you don’t hear from me within two working days, please check your spam folder - sometimes my emails can end up there! I respond to every enquiry, so do email again if you don’t receive a reply).

  • Include a few photos. At least 5 photos is a good start but you can send as many as you like. It’s important to send good photos - I've written a guide about what photos work best, click here to have a look.

  • We'll decide on a size and discuss what you're looking for, then I'll book you a slot in my diary. A deposit of 50% of the total cost is due at this stage to secure the commission (with the other 50% due on completion). Payment can be made by bank transfer - I’ll provide all the details you need on an invoice. Other payment methods can be arranged if needed.

  • I'll then start with sketches, and I'll figure out what I think will work best for the portrait. Any ideas you have are very welcome at this stage too! I’ll e-mail you an initial rough sketch, so you can get a good idea of how the portrait will look. Once you are happy with this, I will start on the finished painting.

  • The finished piece is then created, and when it's done I'll e-mail you a photo. You’ll have the opportunity for small changes to be made if needed. When you are totally happy, the final payment is due & we'll arrange postage, and that's it!

If you'd like to see a more detailed breakdown of how I create my pet portraits, read my blog post about my process (complete with photos!). A portrait usually takes around 7-10 days to complete, from the initial sketch through to the finished painting, depending on the size.

There is usually a waiting list of a few weeks but sometimes I can accommodate portraits that will be needed sooner! Just get in touch to ask about my availability.

"My friend absolutely loved the painting of Hugo - almost all of us ended up in tears when she got it! I honestly don't think I could have got more of a special gift."

"I LOVE the portrait of Miles. It is so so pretty and looks just like him. Thank you so much for this, I can’t wait to give it to my partner. It will bring so much joy!"
